Glenn Cullen
Chief Executive Officer & Chief Operating Officer

Glenn Cullen

Glenn is a senior executive with 25 years of progressive responsibility and experience in small, medium and large sized organizations. His career encompasses both for-profit and not for profit experience in the public and private sectors. Media, Financial Services, Information Technology, Consulting Services, Education and Government make up Glenn’s portfolio of sector experience.

Past and current accountabilities and responsibilities have given Glenn a talent for and success in Strategic Planning, Organizational Design, Finance, IM/IT, Marketing, Human Resources, Business and Product Development.


Henrietta Van hulle
Vice President, Client Outreach

img-henvh-copyHenrietta has a deep commitment to and passion for improving the health and safety of those working in the health and community care sector. With over 30 years experience serving the healthcare sector, Henrietta has built a reputation of expertise and professionalism and is a valued member of every team. Henrietta’s knowledge and experience encompasses all aspects of occupational health and safety, but specialities include infection prevention and control, workplace violence prevention and disability management.

Henrietta began her career as a Registered Nurse in the hospital sector where she cared for patients for 17 years. She remained in the hospital setting for an additional four years in Occupational Health and Infection Prevention and Control. Henrietta joined Public Services Health & Safety Association, formerly the Ontario Safety Association for Community and Health, in 2005 as a Regional Consultant, and, since then, has held a number of positions, such as Program Specialist, Director of Prevention Services West and Acting Senior Director.

Henrietta is a passionate leader with a transformational and innovative leadership style, a high level of emotional intelligence, well-honed communication skills, and a proven ability to inspire and motivate. As Executive Director of the Health and Community Care sector at PSHSA, Henrietta is ready to lead, manage and develop a cross-functional team of health and safety professionals as they support the OHS prevention strategy in Ontario’s health and community care settings. She looks forward to working collaboratively with senior leaders and stakeholders to develop and institute innovative health and safety best practices which will provide the foundation and capacity to achieve greater advances in corporate safety culture. 


Kim Litchfield
Vice President, Client Acquisition


With over 17 years of experience, Kim Litchfield is PSHSAs Executive Director, Education, Culture and Training Delivery. Kim brings a wealth of progressive experience in the Ontario Prevention System and has a CRSP designation. Kim is recognized as a stakeholder focused leader with the ability to identify new revenue streams and leverage existing opportunities. Kim is a passionate leader on the topic of safety culture and played a leadership role in the development of the CEO Leadership Network and Canada’s Best Health & Safety Culture Award (Canada’s Safest Employer Awards) in her previous role at WSPS.

Kim started her career as a Health and Safety Consultant at OSSA working with service sector employers. As Manager of Key Accounts, Kim and her team worked collaboratively with internal stakeholders to provide service sector and manufacturing industry groups, advisory committees, and executive teams of strategic corporate clients with solutions to business needs and leading practices. Kim demonstrated supportive leadership and change management during the HSA amalgamation. In her recent role, Director, Central Region Kim was responsible for business plans, sales strategies, marketing plans, and targeting initiatives. Kim developed working partnerships with key stakeholders such as System Partners, Trade Associations, and external business associates to advance regional and organizational objectives.


Kim Slade
Director, Emerging Markets & Commercialization


Kim Slade is the Director of Research and Product Development at Public Services Health & Safety Association. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications and also has an Adult Education Certificate from OISE University of Toronto. Kim is also part of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Technical Committees on Occupational Health and Safety Training as well as the Paramedic Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace Standard. She has been in the field of OHS training and education for the past 15 years.


Joanne Clark
Director, Corporate & Customer Marketing

Joanne is a Digital Marketer and Public Relations Executive experienced using technology platforms and business processes to drive results. Currently, Joanne works across all PSHSA Sectors leading Marketing Communications and Public Relations efforts. Joanne’s experience spans website development, information architecture, eCommerce best practices, social media content & engagement strategies, marketing analysis & Media Relations. Joanne’s background includes leading major digital accounts for some of the world’s largest advertising agencies as well as client side experience with National Canadian brands. She has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English from the University of Toronto and a Diploma from Seneca College in Creative Advertising. She is also a member of ORFA’s Technical Advisory Committee.


Shannon Hunt
Director, Multi-Channel Content Delivery

Shannon Hunt is the Director, Multi-Channel Content Delivery at Public Services Health & Safety Association. She has extensive experience in learning and development experience across multiple sectors and organizations. In addition, she has extensive experience in program management and business process. Her formal education includes a B.Sc. from Western University and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management.


Adrian Varao
Director, New Client Growth

Adrian is the Director, New Client Growth at PSHSA. In his role, Adrian is responsible for increasing PSHSA’s market position and achieve market growth. Adrian leads the progression of our Health & Safety solutions portfolio by researching and recommending market-driven initiatives and cultivating strategic partnerships in support of PSHSA’s mission, vision and values. Adrian brings over 15 years of past experience in the Health and Safety field as an experienced Consultant; Project Manager and Key Account Manager. Adrian holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Schulich School of Business as well as a Bachelor of Sciences Degree – Biological Sciences from the University of Guelph.


Patricia Clausen
Director, Prevention – Engagement and Retention (Government, Education and Public Safety)

Patricia leads a team of consultants specializing in the municipal and government sectors. She has over 17 years experience in ergonomics and as a Health & Safety consultant in a variety of industries with a particular focus on municipal government. Patricia has a strong skill set in auditing, leading projects and the assessment, review and implementation of effective Health & Safety programs in various work settings. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering, Masters in Business Administration and is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).


Ryan Adam
Manager, Field Operations – Prevention

adam-copyRyan Adam is the Director of Health & Community Services team with the Public Services Health and Safety Association. In the role, Ryan leads a team of dedicated health and safety professionals serving Ontario healthcare and community care sectors. Ryan has over 10 years of occupational health and safety experience, working in multiple sectors, including healthcare, education, government, and industrial sectors. He holds a Master’s Degree in Human Kinetics (Ergonomics) from the University of Windsor. Ryan also has his professional designation as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).


Emad Karras
Director, Information Management and Technology

EmadEmad is the Director of Information Management and Technology at PSHSA, he has over 15 years of experience managing IT organizations within different sectors, including automotive, food industry and health and safety sectors. With a broad experience in managing IT infrastructure as well as Information Systems, Emad is always passionate to provide IT/IS solutions that meet PSHSA’s objectives and enable the organization to achieve its vision and cope with market demands. He holds a Master degree in Business Information Technology from Middlesex University in UK, he has also Project Management Professional (PMP) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications.


Susan Sun
Director, Finance & Administration 

Susan joined PSHSA as Manager, Financial Services in July 2012 and became Director, Finance & Administration in January 2013. Susan has almost 20 years of financial experience that spans the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Prior to joining PSHSA, Susan had been with the Board of Governors of Exhibition Place (BOG) since 2008 and was their Finance Manager of Exhibition Place, Canadian National Exhibition and Canadian National Exhibition Foundation. Susan was the Accounting Manager at Suzuki Canada Inc. prior to joining BOG. She also had financial experiences in entertainment, retail and property management industries.

Susan holds the designation of Charted Professional Accountant (CPA) and designation of Certified General Accountant (CGA). Susan received her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from Shandong University of Finance and Economics in China.
