Book 3 outlines the legislative responsibilities in hazard identification and control. Participants will learn to identify potential hazards in the workplace, the role of workplace parties in hazard recognition, assessment, control and evaluation. The steps involved in a hazard analysis will be reviewed, as well as the steps to conducting effective workplace inspections. Part of a five education session series that prepares a leader to be a competent supervisor, as defined in the OHSA.
Applicable to the Healthcare sector, this training is applicable to all supervisors and managers. Supervisors/managers are required to complete training such as this at time of appointment as it is required under the Act that supervisors/managers are competent. The completion of this program (all 5 modules) ensures competency of supervisors/managers. The training will enhance knowledge of the legislated health and safety responsibilities that must be followed. The intent is to assist our clients in complying with section 27 of the Act, supervisor/manager responsibilities.
