  • Working at Heights - Refresher Classroom Training Program

    Length: 1 day

    Continuing Education Credits: Certificate, 0.7 CEU Points

    It is a legal requirement for you to receive training if you work in construction using a travel restraint system, fall restricting system, fall arrest system, a safety net, a work belt or a safety belt. Specifically, as of April 1st 2015 workers in Ontario who work on construction sites, at heights are required to receive training. You must get training if you work in construction using any of these methods of fall protection: Travel restraint system; A fall restricting system; A fall arrest system ; A safety net; A work belt; A safety belt Employers must make sure you receive training that has been approved by the Ministry of Labour. This training program meets the requirements of the Working at Heights Training Standard.

    Working at Heights (WAH) Refresher Program is designed for learners who have already completed a MOL approved provider Working at Heights (full) course. Once a participant is trained to the standard, they can complete the refresher program to maintain their certification status. Participants must show their MOL WAH Certification Wallet Card in order to participate in a WAH Refresher program.

    Working at Heights Training Program - Traditional Classroom

    Length: 1 day

    Continuing Education Credits: Certificate, 0.7 CEU Points

    As of April 1, 2015, if you are working at heights, you are required to have training through a Ministry of Labour approved provider. This full day program includes information about how to work at heights safely, as well as practical application of skills. When you are done you will know the hazards and how to protect yourself. The practical session, delivered by our experts, ensures you know how to properly use, inspect, don and doff your equipment. PSHSA’s approved course meets the requirements of the MOL Working at Heights Training Program and covers both the theory and practical requirements outlined in the standard.

    This training is applicable to all employees at all levels across all sectors whom work at heights.

  • Working at Heights Training

    Working at Heights Training Program – Blended

    Length: 1 day

    Continuing Education Credits: Certificate of Completion

    As of April 1, 2015, if you are working at heights, you are required to have training through a Ministry of Labour approved provider. This Blended program includes information about how to work at heights safely, as well as practical application of skills. When you are done you will know the hazards and how to protect yourself. The practical classroom component, delivered by our experts, ensures you know how to properly use, inspect, don and doff your equipment. PSHSA’s approved course meets the requirements of the MOL Working at Heights Training Program and covers both the theory and practical requirements outlined in the standard. This training is applicable to all employees at all levels across all sectors whom work at heights.
    The Working at Heights Blended Training program is made up of two parts:
    1. Working at Heights Basic Theory eLearning Module (3 hours)
    2. Working at Heights Practical Classroom Module + Evaluation (1/2 Day – 1 Day depending on # of participants)
    Upon registration, instructions on how to access to the Working at Heights Basic Theory eLearning module will be emailed to each learner. This eLearning module, including the quiz at the end, must be completed and passed before you attend the practical classroom session. Once you have completed the eLearning component and passed the online quiz you will be required to sign up for the Practical Classroom Module if you haven’t already done so. Available classroom sessions for the classroom component can be viewed below to help plan your time.
    Please note that the final Working at Heights Training Program evaluation administered at the end of the classroom module will test on knowledge obtained in both the eLearning Module and the Classroom Module.
