Security Program as Part of a Workplace Violence Prevention: A Security Toolkit for Community and Healthcare Organizations
Assault, bullying, vandalism, theft and property damage are unfortunate realities in today’s community and healthcare workplaces. The Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requires employers to take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances to protect employees and it also outlines the requirements for workplace violence and harassment prevention.
Security is an important part of any workplace violence prevention strategy and it involves preventing and/or protecting individuals from harm or injury and preventing and/or protecting property from damage or theft.
