Evidence-based tools and guides from the Institute for Work & Health
The Institute for Work & Health is an independent, not-for-profit research organization that aims to promote, protect and improve the safety and health of working people by conducting actionable research that is valued by employers, workers and policy-makers. PSHSA and IWH have been active partners in many research projects over the years. Most recently, these projects include the development of the eOfficeErgo online office ergonomics training program, the development and testing of leading indicators of occupational health and safety (OHS) performance, an evaluation of the Employees Participating in Change (EPIC) program, the exploration of factors that lead organizations to make breakthrough change (i.e. large, intentional changes in their OHS performance) and, still ongoing, the development and evaluation of violence prevention tools for the health-care sector. To keep up on research findings from IWH, including those involving PSHSA, sign up for the Institute’s monthly e-alert at www.iwh.on.ca/e-alerts.
