In summer 2018, cannabis will become legal for recreational use and sale when Bill C-45 (the Cannabis Act) is passed. There is growing concern among employers that the increase in recreational sales and users once the Cannabis Act is passed, in addition to the social normalization of cannabis, will lead to higher incidences of impairment in the workplace.
