The program combines information sharing and skill development with strategies for stigma reduction.

What You'll Learn
In this course, you will learn:
- the value of addressing workplace mental health
- about the mental health continuum and the impact of stress
- how mental illness may appear at work and how to identify and support workers who are struggling
- the nature of attitudes towards coworkers with mental health issues and strategies for stigma reduction
- evidence-based approaches and available mental health resources, including how to match resources to a person’s unique needs
- how to create an action plan for your own workplace
Who Is This Course For
This course is applicable to workers in health care organizations, including long-term care or group homes, family health teams, paramedics, rural or remote hospitals, and community-based services.
A grant through the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development’s Occupational Health and Safety Prevention and Innovation program will offset training costs for employees in small health care workplaces (100 employees or less).
