The course emphasizes how stress and trauma can impact behaviour and offers practical tools to help prevent situations from escalating.

By the end of the course, you will have gained the knowledge and skills necessary to identify early signs of escalation, manage your own reactions, and foster safer, more supportive interactions.

  • Recognize how your own behaviour, communication style, and unconscious biases can influence interactions and contribute to escalation
  • Identify the impact of stigma and bias on perception and behaviour during challenging situations
