This refresher program is designed for learners who have already completed the Working at Heights course through a Ministry of Labour-approved provider. This course offers a refresher on the essential information about how to work at heights safely and offers an opportunity for the practical application of skills. Upon completion, learners will know the hazards of working at heights and be equipped with the knowledge to protect themselves.

Under the Working at Heights training legislation, you are required to complete a refresher course every three years.

  • general hazard recognition for working at heights
  • hierarchy of controls
  • safety procedures for warning methods and physical barriers
  • safety procedures for ladders and similar equipment
  • an introduction to personal fall protection equipment
  • barriers and safety nets
  • personal fall protection equipment
  • anchor points
  • work positioning systems, work access and platforms
  • rescue planning

Who Is This Course For

This is a refresher course. Individuals working at heights who have already completed the Working at Heights course through a Ministry of Labour-approved provider are required to complete this refresher training every three years.

This training is applicable to all employees at all levels across all sectors who work at heights.
