The Public Services Health & Safety Association (PSHSA) today announced a leadership transition, with the appointment of Henrietta Van hulle as Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026. She succeeds Glenn Cullen, who is concluding his tenure as CEO & COO.

Van hulle brings extensive leadership experience, deep knowledge of PSHSA and a strong understanding of the public and broader sectors it serves. Her appointment will bring continuity as the organization continues to advance its mandate and deliver services and support to workplaces across Ontario.

“Henrietta is a respected and accomplished leader who brings extensive experience, sound judgement and a strong understanding of the organization and communities we serve,” said Penny Smiley, Chair of the Board of Directors. “The Board is confident in her ability to lead PSHSA through this next chapter while building on the organization’s strong foundation.”

“I am honoured to step into this role,” said Van hulle. “PSHSA has a strong foundation, and I look forward to working with our team and partners to continue delivering impact for the sectors we serve.”

Van hulle has been with PSHSA since 2005, most recently serving as Vice President of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing. She has held a senior leadership position in the organization through some of its greatest achievements, including the development of a series of Violence, Aggression & Responsive Behaviours toolkits, COVID-19 pandemic response, and the digital transformation of the organization.

“I am proud of what we have accomplished together,” said Cullen. “PSHSA plays a critical role in supporting safer workplaces across Ontario, and I am confident the organization will continue to thrive under Henrietta’s leadership.”

PSHSA will continue to provide uninterrupted services and support to its clients and partners across Ontario.
