Description
This 4-hour program equips learners with the knowledge and skills needed to conduct their own qualitative fit testing (QLFT) in the workplace, as required by legislation and outlined in CSA Standard Z94.4-18: Selection, Use, & Care of Respirators.
It is specifically tailored for aerosol and bioaerosol hazards.
Course Content
The course consists of three required training components:

Part 1: eLearning (2 hours) – completed in advance of the instructor-led session

Part 2: Instructor-Led Session (45 minutes)

Final Evaluation – must achieve a score of 75% or higher to qualify as a fit tester
This course requires specific equipment and preparation in order to successfully complete. You will need:

An appropriate respirator fit testing kit, available from your regular safety supplier or companies such as 3M Canada

A suitable partner to practice donning and doffing a disposable N95 respirator

At least two unused NIOSH-approved disposable N95 respirators

Additional requirements, such as nitrile gloves and alcohol-based hand rub
