Workers in Group Homes are at increased risk of exposure to workplace violence since they are often working in the community, working alone, and/or providing direct care to individuals in challenging situations. The OHSA sets out requirements for a workplace violence program. These requirements and review of the violence prevention resources available to Group Homes will be the focus of this workshop. 

The objective of hazard specific workshops is to provide an overview of the hazards that will be a focus of the proactive initiative. Participants will be provided with resources to assess their efforts related to each hazard and help generate an action plan for future conformance activities. Follow up and onsite assistance can be requested. Your PSHSA consultant can assist with specific policies and program development if needed at your location(s).
